Utilizing e-mail for business
A staggering 92 percent of respondents to a recent Angie's List CompanyConnect poll said they use e-mail to communicate with their customers.
- Replying in a timely manner is important to your customers: In a recent nationwide poll of Angie's List members, 60 percent said they expect a reply within 48 hours; 36 percent said they expect same-day replies.
- Using e-mail can help you reach out to customers: Currently, only about a quarter of service providers who responded to the poll are using e-mail for newsletters or to announce new offerings. E-mail newsletters are much more cost-efficient than sending fliers, and they're eco-friendly, too.
- Staying professional in your e-mails is important. Follow the rules for e-mail etiquette to make sure you're keeping your company image in mind before you click the send button.
